Kayla Mak – American Ballet Theatre Studio Company

Kayla trained in her native New York, first at Blind Brook High School, then at the prestigious Juilliard School. A graduate of the class of 2025, she distinguished herself throughout her training in numerous performances, shows and galas.

In 2024, she performed at the American Ballet Theatre’s Autumn Gala in a creation by Brady Farrar, as well as in Alexei Ratmansky’s production of The Nutcracker.

A highly promising artist, that same year she joined the ABT Studio Company, performing works by renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Amy Hall Garner, Yannick Lebrun, Houston Thomas and James Whiteside, both in New York and on tour.

Kayla has won numerous awards, including first place in contemporary dance at the YAGP in 2019. She was named “Senior Best Dancer” at the Dance Awards in 2021, as well as “Senior Outstanding Dancer” at the New York City Dance Alliance Nationals. She won the silver medal in modern/contemporary at YoungArts in 2022.

A complete artist, Kayla is also an emerging choreographer.
