Gareth Haw – Principal English National Ballet

Originally from the United Kingdom, Gareth trained for eight years at the prestigious Royal Ballet School, where he acquired the strong foundations that would shape his future as a dancer.
In 2015, he joined the corps de ballet of the Semperoper Ballett in Dresden. Quickly recognized for the excellence of his work, the precision of his lines, and his partnering qualities, he rose steadily through the ranks of the company, becoming First Soloist in 2022.
The following year, Gareth joined English National Ballet as a First Soloist and was promoted to Principal Dancer two years later.
With a broad classical and neo-classical repertoire, Gareth performs leading roles in major works of the ballet repertoire. He also stands out in pieces by influential choreographers such as William Forsythe, Martha Graham, George Balanchine, Pina Bausch, and Alexander Ekman. In addition, he has taken part in original creations, notably under the direction of David Dawson, who entrusted him with principal roles in “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Four Seasons”.
Alongside his dancing career, Gareth devotes significant time to teaching and the development of dance. Deeply committed to supporting the next generation and advancing the art form, he recently became an honorary patron of the Du Boisson Dance Foundation, underscoring his dedication to the future of dance.
